LINDSAY A. COMPTON
Born in Boston and raised in Rhode Island and Connecticut, which gave me a unique perspective on the East Coast. My journey to becoming a lawyer and opening my own practice has been shaped by a deep commitment to advocacy, education, and a genuine passion for helping others.
After graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2006 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Business and Management. After watching Bryan Stevenson, speak, i . In 2010, I enrolled at Charlotte School of Law, where I excelled academically and earned a spot on the Dean’s List both semesters I attended before transferring to the University of Connecticut School of Law, where my passion for justice truly began to take shape.
During my time at UConn Law, I worked at the Children’s Advocacy Center, where I helped advocate for children in the foster system. This experience was incredibly impactful, and it gave me a deep sense of purpose in fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves. I also had the privilege of teaching high school students about the Constitution, instilling in them an understanding of their rights and the power of the law.
After law school, I clerked for Judge Anna Ficeto in the Hartford Family Court, one of the busiest courtrooms in Connecticut. My time as a courtroom clerk allowed me to observe hundreds of hearings, draft court orders, manage evidence, and get a firsthand look at the inner workings of the law.
In 2016, I relocated to Southwest Florida after visiting and falling in love with the beauty of the area. I moved to Estero, where I continued to pursue my passion for law. I worked as a civil litigation paralegal at a well-respected firm in Naples, gaining invaluable experience. In 2021, I was admitted to the Florida Bar and began practicing law, initially in family law. However, my true passion lies in civil litigation, and in 2022, I transitioned into this area of law full-time.
Today, I am proud to be opening my own law firm with a singular mission: to make my clients' lives better for having worked with me. I strive to create an environment where legal issues are handled with professionalism, care, and a deep understanding of the individual needs of each client. I am committed to growing the local legal community, contributing to Estero and the area, and fostering a legal practice that is rooted in integrity and a desire to make a positive impact.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I look forward to working with you!
